Sustainable Investment Management
The goal of this course is to expose learner to the management and the sustainability of various investment opportunities and equip them with the skills, tools, strategies and principles of Investment Management.
The need to invest will first demand an understanding of the investment vehicles available and the setting of the investment objective as well as the steps involved in investing.Issues covering the functioning and role of the Securities Market particularly the Ghana Stock Exchange is taken a closer look at. Same way, securities will be discussed as to its origination and distribution after careful analysis are done considering the Technical and Fundamental aspect.
Investment is never completely done when the concept of Time Value of Money, Risk and Return trade off and Stocks and their Valuation is not attended. We will therefore look at that and also consider the CAPM and the SML.
The course in the end is expected to help learners understand and appreciate the strategies of managing investment as portfolio and give learners the understanding of financial markets.
