Disease & Vector Control
Infections and infectious diseases are a significant burden on sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. The interaction among infectious agents, vectors and the environment has significant health implications for individual and public health. The course provides students with insight into the role of vectors in the distribution of infections of public concerns, particularly in Ghana and beyond. The course also provides students with knowledge on the biology and control of vectors and infectious agents.
Environmental Sanitation & Community Development
This course aims at providing students with a broader understanding of the sanitation situation and development at the national, regional and global levels. It also aims at providing students with a systematic review of policies, legislation and institutional frameworks that affect environmental sanitation locally and globally.
